Black Contractor's Group Endorsement Statement In Support of Candidate Perkins.

(Cleveland, OH) – Charlotte Perkins has announced the endorsement of Black Contractors Group, Inc. in her campaign for Ward 8 City Councilwoman. This significant endorsement highlights Perkins's commitment to economic development for small and minority businesses, as well as her dedication to ensuring that Black-owned companies are fairly represented and awarded contracts within the city of Cleveland.

"The Black Contractors Group, Inc.'s dedication to revitalizing Cleveland's neighborhoods through economic development aligns perfectly with my campaign's values and priorities. We are fighting to ensure that minorities can build generational wealth and have a seat at the table, and this endorsement affirms our efforts to achieve that."

Perkins has been a vocal advocate for strengthening and connecting the community through health equity, education, and economic development. This endorsement is another indication of the growing momentum behind her campaign, as voters across Ward 8 recognize Perkins's leadership and vision. 


About Charlotte Perkins: 

Charlotte Perkins is the sole owner of R-CAP Security. A product of the East Cleveland School system, she attended Kent State University, where she majored in Criminal Justice. In 1985, she became a police officer with the City of Cleveland and left the force in 1997 to focus on her business. Throughout her years as a decorated officer and a true advocate for her community, Perkins has been involved with the NAACP, Aloysius Catholic Church, and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
